Sugar Free Pound Cake

Pound cake has always been one of those standard cakes that everyone seems to enjoy. I love there there are so many ways to enjoy this buttery tasting delight.

I grew up on pound cake.
Let me backtrack here for a moment.

Where I grew up there was a certain famous bakery that has based not too far away from where we lived.
That famous bakery had a catchy jingle and a pound cake that was a top seller at the time. My dad loved that pound cake and my family loved that catchy jingle. So, my mother hit the outlet store, located at that famous bakery, on a weekly basis. When they had a deal going on that pound cake, we had a freezer full of them.

And that is how and why I grew up on pound cake.

These days, pound cake is mostly a memory or two for me.

Pound cake is really kind of a basic cake to make. These days, what you serve with it or on it that counts a lot of the time.
Sometimes, I prefer to enjoy my pound cake as is while other times I will top it off with some delicious chocolate Ganache or some fresh fruit.

And yes, pound cake can be made without adding any sugar to it.

To bake this you will need a tube pan, loaf or bundt cake pan.
