Good gravy, who doesn't love a good cookie?

Even if you are just looking at a cookie, it is worth it.

So I've taken the best of two worlds of sugar cookies and peanut butter cookies and combined them into one really nice creation.

Good gravy, who doesn't love a good cookie?I've taken the best of two worlds of sugar cookies and peanut butter cookies and combined them into one really nice creation.
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Packed
  • 3/4 cup Peanut Butter- crunchy is best for this
  • 1 stick Butter spftened
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • Dash Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • as needed Sugar for topping- can be either or both combined
Instructions
This recipe works best if prepared in advance and allowed to sit in a refrigerator for at least a half hour. You do not have to do this step.In a large bowl, combine your flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda.Add your butter, vanilla, egg and peanut butter one item at a time stirring in between additions.Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. When ready to prepare for baking, preheat your oven to 375 and prep your pans for nonstick (some people do not use the nonstick- I prefer to prep)Form the cookie dough into balls as small as about half of the size of a golf ball to about the size of a golf ball depending on how large you want your cookies to be.Flatten each ball on your baking sheet, making sure that each cookie has a at least 2 inches between the one next to it.Using a fork, make a crisscross design on the top of each cookie.Bake for about 5 minutes and then sprinkle your sugar topping on the top of each cookie.Bake for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cookie reaches your preferred look.Allow to cool on a rack before serving.

  3. I made chocolate chip cookies today. I'd love a good peanut butter cookie, but I have a nephew with nut allergies, so I usually avoid sweets with nuts.
