Easy Fried Pumpkin Blossoms Recipe:

Do you have some pumpkin or other squash/gourd flowers that just never developed into anything?

You can still enjoy them!

This is a little recipe that my grandmother taught me.

Easy Fried Pumpkin Blossoms Recipe:

You can fry these up and enjoy them

They taste just like what they would have grown. And they sure smell good when you make them!

Step 1:

Heat some oil in a skillet. Gather two containers or bowls that you can work with.

Step 2.
In the first bowl, prepare your favorite seasonings in some flour. The amounts all depend on how big your flowers are and how many your will be frying up.
I'm using about 3 cups of flour with some pepper and some garlic salt.

Step 3
In the second bowl, beat a couple of eggs together.

Step 4

When your oil is ready, dip a flower into the beaten eggs and cover well. Then use a large spoon to cover the flower with the flour and seasoning mix. Just hold the egg covered flower in one hand and spoon the seasonings. You can place a plate or something under this to catch the excess.

Step 5.

Place the seasoned flowers into your oil and fry this as you would fry anything else. Be careful not to get the oil too hot or have it splatter on to you.

Step 6

Remove from the skillet when crispy and set on a a small stack or paper towels to soak up the extra oil.

That's it!
